If you don’t find what you’re looking for in our online catalogue, you may want to consider placing a custom order. Since we do all of our manufacturing in-house, from raw cotton to finished garment, we have a lot of flexibility when it comes to custom orders, including the ability to use custom patterns, stitching, colours, and fabrics. Your custom products can be based on one of our existing products, or we can design something specifically for you. Please note that Vic Bay is not a general contractor and will only produce styles that require basic sewing construction.
STEP 1 : Colour
Supply us with a fabric swatch of the colour you request. We can produce any style in virtually any colour – all we need is a fabric or Pantone swatch. You will typically receive your lab dip sample 1-2 weeks after placing your order, and your final production fabric two weeks after approving your sample. When ordering a custom colour we require the customer to order in full lots and the customer is required to consume everything that is produced from their fabric. Vic Bay will not store any custom fabric.
STEP 2 : Style / Minimum Order
Select a Vic Bay garment style of choice or send us your tech pack. When placing a order, minimums will be based on the style being ordered. Please note that there is a minimum order quantity, that varies per style. The average minimum for a custom order is 1000 pieces per style per colour. Please note that Vic Bay is not a general contractor and will only produce styles that require basic sewing construction.
STEP 3 : Payment / Sample
A 50% deposit is made with each custom order, and you will receive a sample before we start full production. We will not begin production until you are completely satisfied with, and have approved, your sample. You will typically receive your sample 14 business days after placing your order.
STEP 4 : Labels / Lead Time
We do require you to supply us with your labels, otherwise we can sew in a size tab label with no branding. We do request that the labels supplied have a 10mm bleed, so that your logo doesn’t get cut off in production.
We will then go ahead with the production of your garment. We measure our turnaround time in days and weeks, not months. The lead time for your complete order is 6 – 8 weeks after approving your sample and deposit of 50% has been made. Please note that this can very based on quantity and production space available at the time of your order.
